a little of my story...

Lauren Michelle

At 12 years old I started my first business—a jewelry and clothing line that sparked my lifelong love for entrepreneurship.

I was always a dreamer. It runs in my blood as I was born into a family of dreamers. At the heart of it all is my parents, whose unwavering belief in possibility shaped not just my childhood, but the way I see the world today.

During my teenage years, my family faced financial ups and downs, which pushed me to seek every opportunity I could. I threw myself into academics, extracurriculars, and small businesses—hoping to earn scholarships and offset expenses. Around that time, I started watching Shark Tank, and something about those entrepreneurs pitching their ideas lit a fire in me. Over the years, I pursued more than seven business ventures. Some succeeded, others didn’t, but each one taught me something valuable: the road to building our dreams isn’t always the easiest one, but it is the most fulfilling. And living a full life over an easy life has always been my ultimate goal.

My background bridges political science, technology, and design. I hold a B.A. in Political Science and Global Development from BYU. At 19, I spent 18 months in Patagonia on a humanitarian mission, sparking a passion for culture and service. That led to co-founding Sacred Innocence International, a nonprofit supporting abuse survivors through custom software.

After graduation, I worked in Southern California as Deputy Membership Director at the Lincoln Club of Orange County, where I helped develop donor management tools and organized a VIP trip to the Middle East.

At 27, I moved to Chicago to earn a Master’s in Design Methods at the Institute of Design, specializing in tech and innovation. I graduated in May 2025 and launched Lauren Michelle Design, where strategy, design, and technology meet.

designing my dream life

Since I have always had many interests & passions, my only choice was to design a life where they could all flourish, together.

BEHIND THE SCENES

My belief in God and gratitude for Him fuels everything I do every single day.

As a Christian, my belief in God has been the single most constant thing in my life. My belief in God grounds me, it gives me hope, and it fuels me to become my best self and to fulfill the measure of my creation.

What I'm

loving

I am loving my new book list for 2025, jamming to my favorite playlists, and having movie nights with friends. I’m also loving my time back in California with family!

What I'm

learning

I am learning that good friends are one of life's treasures, prayer will always calm my mind down, and saying less is a sure way to get more out of a conversation.

What I'm

not about

I’m not about letting fear hold you back. Chasing your dreams isn’t always easy, but it is fulfilling. And the goal for me has always been to live a full life over an easy one.

what I

believe

I believe that everything in life is working out for our good. The losses, the short falls, the difficult seasons always have a way of clearing our path for something better.
