Lauren Michelle
During my teenage years, my family faced financial ups and downs. During this time I found a few outlets: striving for every academic and extracurricular accomplishment possible (scholarships were the goal!), starting small businesses to help off set life's expenses, and watching Shark Tank. Something about those entrepreneurs pitching their ideas lit a fire in me—I couldn’t help but think, maybe one day, that could be me.
So, I dove headfirst into the world of entrepreneurship, running with over seven business ideas over the years. Some took off, some didn’t, but each one taught me something invaluable. The road to building our dreams isn’t always the easiest one, but it is the most fulfilling. And living a full life over an easy life has always been my ultimate goal.
My background blends political science, technology, and design. I earned a B.A. in Political Science and Global Development from BYU. At 19 I spent 18 months in Patagonia, Argentina, on a religious and humanitarian mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That experience deepened my love for culture and humanitarian work. Inspired by this, with my mom I co-founded Sacred Innocence International, a nonprofit supporting abuse survivors through a custom software platform.
After graduation, I moved to Southern California, where I worked as Deputy Membership Director at the Lincoln Club of Orange County, helping develop political donor management software and helping organize and attend a VIP international trip to Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine.
At 27, I moved to Chicago to pursue a Master’s in Design Methods at the Institute of Design, specializing in technology and innovation. With one semester left until my Spring 2025 graduation, I launched Lauren Michelle Design—a place where strategy, design, and technology come together.

building something from nothing
My parents sparked my passion for innovation, and growing up, I worked alongside them, learning how business, technology, and problem-solving come together. I love working with entrepreneurs because I understand the drive to create and build something meaningful. Let’s bring your ideas to life and take your business to the next level—together.
As a Christian, my belief in God has been the single most constant thing in my life. My belief in God grounds me, it gives me hope, and it fuels me to become my best self and to fulfill the measure of my creation.
What I'm
loving
I am loving my new book list for 2025, jamming to my favorite playlists, and having movie nights with friends. I’m also loving exploring the city of Chicago while I finish my last semester of school!
What I'm
learning
I am learning that good friends are one of life's treasures, prayer will always calm my mind down, and saying less is a sure way to get more out of a conversation.
What I'm
not about
I’m not about letting fear hold you back. Chasing your dreams isn’t always easy, but it is fulfilling. And the goal for me has always been to live a full life over an easy one.
what I
believe
I believe that everything in life is working out for our good. The losses, the short falls, the difficult seasons always have a way of clearing our path for something better.
